Your Itinerary

Day 1: Your adventure starts with flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You will transfer from Maasai Mara in Kenya with a stopover in Kisumu for immigration. Then connect from Entebbe Airport to Kihihi in Uganda’s southwestern highlands. The flight takes you over Lake Victoria, which is Africa’s largest lake, and the world’s second largest freshwater body. Enjoy aerial views of rolling hills and farmlands before landing in Kihihi from where you transfer to Bwindi for your once in a lifetime gorilla trackiing experience.

Once at your accommodation, you can relax and enjoy the evening sounds of one of the world’s oldest forests, Bwindi Impenetrable. Take time to ensure your gadgets – phone, camera, and everything else you need for tomorrow’s trek is fine. Optional activities include a community tour or a tour to the Gorilla Health And Community Conservation Center .

Day 2: Tracking the gentle mountain gorillas

This is the day that only one who has experienced it can describe. Today you get intimate and close with a family of the endangered mountain gorillas of Uganda. Your one hour encounter will allow you see mother gorillas play and teach their young ones. After the trek, you are now officially one of the few in the whole world to have this intimate relationship with the mountain gorillas of Uganda. In the afternoon take a well-deserved break. Enjoy the afternoon reliving the memories of the day and enjoy the quiet jungle sounds. There is an option to take a village walk through the community and meet the locals as they go about their work. This may depend on the time you return from the tour.

Day 3: Transfer to Entebbe

After breakfast, transfer to Kihihi airfield for your flight to Entebbe International Airport. Your flight will cross from the southern hemisphere where the gorillas are, and then on into the northern hemisphere.
