Our fishing safari is an excellent adventure if you are seeking to recharge your mind, spirit and creativity. You get to enjoy your fishing on your Uganda safari. Some of the fish species to look out for are the legendary Nile perch, tilapia, catfish, tigerfish, and electric catfish. Nile perch catches can range from a few kilograms to over 100kg (220lbs plus). In 2009, Tim Smith, an art teacher, landed a 249lb nile perch in the Nile in Murchison Falls National Park. .

Experience Africa’s largest lake while trolling for the iconic Nile Perch. Sport fishing in Lake Victoria, the largest tropical lake in the world, offers anglers exciting fishing adventures.
When: All year round except the full moon period, when fish seem to be less active, and the April / May rainy season.
Boats: Sea-going, single-hulled, twin-engined speedboats that cater for up to four fishermen.
Equipment on board: The vessel is equipped with an overhead sun canopy, rain suits, a mobile phone, life jackets, a basic first aid kit, a fire extinguisher, and a cool box for refreshing beverages. All basic equipment and lures for trolling are supplied. However, anglers are free to bring their own if they prefer.
Guides: Our skippers are experienced Ugandans knowledgeable about the lake and its fish. The guides communicate in English.
Fishing trips: Half day or full day trips are available.
Fishing in the Nile River, against the backdrop of the thundering waterfalls should be on your bucket list. You will be fishing in the Nile in the Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest conservation area.
These are fully inclusive trips with private transport with a driver in 4×4 vehicle. Alternatively scheduled flights or charter flights are available. Accommodation to suit all budgets is available.
When: Generally December – March and June – October are favoured, although year round fishing opportunities abound.
Equipment: All basic fishing equipment provided, including rods, line and lures. Lost or damaged equipment will be paid for by the angler. It is recommended that experienced anglers bring their own equipment.
Guides: Our skippers are experienced Ugandans knowledgeable about the river and the best spots. The guides communicate in English.
Specialist guides are available for an extra fee for large groups and highly focused angling clients.
