Your Itinerary
Day 1: Your Adventure Starts
Today transfer to Kibale National Park in western Uganda. The park is known for its diversity and abundance of primate species. Some call it the primate capital of Africa, the richest eco system in Africa or the primatologist’s dream. After checking in, explore the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a closer-to-nature encounter before retiring for the night.
Day 2: Trek with the chimps of Kibale
Today you go tracking the chimpanzees in this tropical forest. Kibale has a large concentration of primates so look out for L’Hoest monkeys, blue monkeys, red colobus monkeys and others. In the afternoon transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Take a water safari on the Kazinga Channel and get close to the wildlife and birds along the waterway.
Day 3: Seek out the Big 4 of Queen Elizabeth National Park
Game drives start out early before sunrise so you are there just as the wildlife begins the new day. Look out for some of Africa’s Big 5 like the elephants, buffalo, lions and leopards. The hunters and hunted are all out so it is great time for photography or simply enjoy the wildlife. In the afternoon transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Day 4: Track the great mountain gorillas
This is the day that only one who has experienced it can describe. Today you get intimate and close with a family of the endangered mountain gorillas of Uganda. Your visit will allow you meet gorilla mothers, baby gorillas play and move around as the family feeds. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO world heritage site home to gorillas, over 350 bird species, and ancient plants. In the afternoon transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.
Day 5: Walk up close to the Wildlife
It is so pleasurable taking a walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park. Set out with your guide and ranger walking up close to the zebras and the giraffes. After your walk, transfer to Entebbe for your journey back home. You will make a stopover at the Equator as you cross back into the northern hemisphere. Thank you for choosing Kwezi Outdoors for your safari to Uganda.
