Student Travel and Safaris

Student Travel and Safaris

Uganda is a great destination for student travel and safaris, and research trips. The country offers a wide choice on the cultural, natural and wildlife trails. And this was not lost on the former British Prime Minister, Sir Winston Churchill who said:

“Uganda is a fairy-tale. You climb up … and at the end there is a wonderful new world. The scenery is different, the vegetation is different, the climate is different, and, most of all, the people are different from anything elsewhere to be seen in the whole range of Africa…Concentrate on Uganda. For magnificence, for variety of form and colour, for profusion of brilliant life – bird, insect, reptile, beast – for vast scale — Uganda is truly the Pearl of Africa.”

That is the world that Kwezi Outdoors presents to you. We have years of experience organizing trips for high school and University students. Among some of the tours have been medical camps, retreats, missions and school excursions to the national parks.

Our educational tours and safaris are a great opportunity for students and academics to experience different cultures and peoples, and discover new worlds and meanings beyond classroom study.

Kwezi Outdoors safaris fall in the following broad categories:

  • Wildlife viewing in the national parks.
  • Mountain climbing, adventure travel, and other outdoors activities.
  • Tracking mountain gorillas.
  • Trekking with chimps in the wild.
  • Community and cultural tours.
  • Photography safaris.
  • Big cats / carnivore tours.
  • Religious / faith missions and tours.

Any of our listed tours can be customized for specific student travel requirements, purpose and budget. The objective is to provide you the right combination of discovery, adventure and education.

What is the cost of an educational safari?

Some of the factors that determine the cost of a student safari or educational tour are:

  • Activities: some activities like gorilla tracking require extra pay for permits.
  • Number of participants: More students (up to a certain level) means lower cost per person.
  • Accommodation: We book budget facilities. Alternative accommodation can be provided on request.
  • Mode of transportation: We provide transportation from vans to buses and air planes.
  • Number of days: More days give you a great experience with a little more expenditure.

In addition to the general terms and conditions, we will consider the following for student travel and safaris:

  • Only groups are allowed (minimum of 2 students).
  • Individual or group researchers.
  • All students Must carry their International Identity Students Cards.
  • This is a budget safari. Alternative accommodation can be provided on request.
